Post Birth Relaxation

Mothers Meeting nobirthing Classes Link to Post Birth Relaxation Confident Births

Relaxation once baby has arrived.

Our mood and how we feel about ourselves and those around us following birth is crucial to our relationships at this special time.

As our sleep pattern is altered our needs change; our days are spent very differently. We are now considering our baby every time we consider ourselves. Your baby stays in your thoughts and energy field until around age 8, (but in a less focused way after babyhood).

One thing for sure, with a baby, every day is different and adapting to a changing environment can be a challenge.
Listening to a cd is good as it keep us feeling energised even when our body feels tired, and enables us to manage until a time when we can get a good sleep and feel rested and rejuvenated.

Coming to some relaxation with me is a great way to relax and let go of the tension we get used to holding on to. Letting it go regularly helps you in your enjoyment of life, increases your energy levels and gives you a zest for life that may have been temporarily absent. It enhances your relationships and gives you some space and the opportunity to clear stuff you have been ignoring.

Relaxation is beneficial to mum and baby at any time. You do not need to have attended the course or to have met me before you come. It is held on Mondays 12.30 to 1.30pm and costs £35.00 per person. Your baby is welcome to enjoy this with you.

Returning to work?

Returning to work following the birth of your baby can be stressful and nerve wracking, with so many things to be considering.

Most of us forget to consider ourselves in the process , we are so focussed on the changes work will bring into our day

  • Missing the  baby
  • Ppracticalities of feeding
  • Hoping our childcare choices will work out safely
  • Worrying about getting enough sleep
  • Hoping we will be able to do the job to the standard we did before
  • Hoping we will survive it all, and so on ..............

Meeting up with me monthly is one way of ensuring you are getting an opportunity to access some relaxation and keep it all in perspective. You can also keep your goals in focus, and this is important to make sure you stay on top.

When we ignore our own efforts and focus solely on  keeping everyone else happy it is a recipe for difficulty.

A little space for oneself;  to have time out from all the demands we place upon ourselves is crucial for ongoing health and  longterm success.

Spending an hour regularly with me will ensure you manage and enjoy juggling your life, you can keep those balls in the air, and you can smile doing it!

After all life is supposed to be fun, and parenthood is fantastic.

What Parents Say

"Thank you so much for teaching me how to stay calm, relaxed, focused and in control. My Husband was away for the start of the pregnancy, as he is in the army and I felt alone and worried, starting the course with you was the
turning point for us both, we made time to sit together, to talk, to imagine the birth and to stay really close. Not only did James learn about birth (being a Midwife I was in a position of knowing alot and he didn't) but it gave him the confidence to know how important he was to me and our baby. He hadn't recieved this vital piece of informationfrom anywhere else. We had a lovely time in the pregnancy, going to the coast and relaxing together was so lovely, a special time, specially as I was not looking forward to the posting he would have after the baby was going to be born.
The birth itself was amazing, I had a 4 hour labour at home in a pool and George was born really easily, I am so grateful you taught me everything that you did as it enabled me to have the birth I truely desired. Thank you again."
